UPDATE On My New YouTube Channel

Hey bees!
I have combined both of my former channels (NikolaiObeeExposed and NikolaiReviewsNollywood) into one channel (NikolaiObee). I am just getting back in the groove of uploading videos and I'm slacking already. I uploaded a new video a little over a week ago and will be uploading another one this coming week. This upcoming week will be very busy for me, but it is my goal to post AT LEAST one video a week. I watch African movies A LOT and will be reviewing those for you. As well, I will be expressing my thoughts and ideas of different topics and interesting events going on in my life. If you have any requests or ideas of videos for me to record, leave a comment below.
Have a great night!

S/O to "Calabar Gal" for reminding me to post about this change.

I Don Taya For These Nee-Gaz

Yal, just washed my clothes and I had to get this off my chest. Last time I went to Houston was like  in April. I met this guy and we spent small time together during my short stay. He was all like already asking when I was coming back and that he would miss me and whatever. I was supposed to come back in May, but never got a chance to go since then because I've been pretty busy. We used to talk a bit, but that was like forever ago. Out of no where, he sends me a text yesterday saying:
"Hey hun. I see someone forgot about me"
Ogini? We BOTH forgot about each other. As in, these nee-gaz are out of hand. It's not even as if he checked up on me when I was planning my sister's birthday that destroyed various relationships in my life. Asked me how the summer is going or when next I was coming to Houston. He dare come to my WhatsApp and say I forgot him. Abeg...comot jare! I responded hours later (because I'm no longer interested in someone who is wasting my time) and told him:
"Hey u! What's up?"
I guess I was too literal for him. He then said:
"I'm good. U?"
I responded:
"I've been good too. Been extra lazy all day though. Lol. They've been way too many Nigerian events this summer and I had to rest today"
This nee-ga didn't even respond back. Whenever I used to talk to him in the past, flow of conversation was a problem and I had to bring up topics to talk about. He would like it when I apologized that I hadn't made it in town yet and I would make it up to him. Not this time! Today he doesn't want to respond because I didn't butter him up. Some guys can be so tiring walaahi! Like what was the whole point of you texting me then. As in, Houston carry babes left, right and center. Find one of them and put sugar in their tea. Guys like this can be so damn annoying. Abeggi... just loose my number. Good riddance and good bye jare!

New Hairdo and Club Nights

I'm not really the 'club type', but I had to go out and support my friend at the grand opening of his Afro-Caribbean spot in town this past weekend. I actually forgot that it was taking place on Saturday, June 20th so had to start inviting people last minute. What kind of a human being am I? But, seriously, my sister and I thought that it was in July for some reason. The look her gave us when we told him that was epic! Lol. He still has mad love for us though. We brought some of our friends and killed it on the dance floor when he hit up our Afrobeats jams.
What do you all think of my new hairdo? i haven't worn my hair this short since like 4 years ago and I was surprised I was bold enough to do it again. My aunty told me that she had brought a wig from Naija and I totally downplayed her. I was like "I bet it's not cute, please send it back!" (because the last wig she bought looked like it came from the B.C ages...lol) Once she pulled it out, I fell in love with it and have been wearing it since. I got so many compliments on my hair and my look this past weekend and I felt like Naija's Next Top Model 2015!

Me and las chicitas! We all wore black, and it wasn't even planned! Great minds think alike.

Ebele here with me was the one who 'found the light' to take these photos. He used to model and I promise you, he knows about angles and 'finding the light'. My sister and I always look out for him at events!

Constant Noisemakers

Before I call anyone out, I must admit that I belong to the '#1 Group of Noisemakers Association'. I can be quite loud because of my boisterous personality and have been told to be quiet on several occasions. Even though I am guilty as charged, the greatest noisemakers I know till date are my NEIGHBORS!!! Thank goodness they let my siblings and I rest during the week. Starting from 12 midnight on Friday morning, we are in full 'club mode'.  I don't know how people have the energy to have pool parties every weekend, ear thumping music and full out liquor consumption. To make matters worse, their children are always gallivanting about the whole area as if its regular behavior. As in...haba now? It's obvious that they lack neighbor etiquette.
Even though they are a menace to society, its funny how I actually kind of enjoy it. Lol. I think its the noisemaker in me. They play a majority of 'ratchet' songs and I'm highly entertained by such music (at times). You'll see me bust a move as I'm about to head out or when I'm coming back into our apartment. My siblings don't understand why I partake in such behavior and make the weirdest faces at me. Lol. Life is too short jare, so enjoy it while you can! Also, I don't want them to send armed robbers my way for reporting them or complaining. NO OHHH!!! They look very scary and behave sketchy.
Do any of you guys have any neighbor noisemakers in your neighborhood? What would you do if you had my type of neighbors?

Your Punani is "The Beans"

My aunty has been visiting my sister and I for over a month now and she has been educating us about everything from boys to building a firm relationship with God to healthy eating. She recently went on a date with my uncle's friend who flew in from Maryland to see her. They had been talking on the phone, but never met in person. She hadn't been on a date in a long while, so I was definitely excited to see her step out of her shell.

When she got back home from her date, my sister and I were quite curious to find out what went on during the night and if she actually liked him. She actually really enjoyed herself and we were glad. She said that the man tried to kiss her before the end of the night, but she only accepted a peck because she didn't want to give any mixed signals. She didn't know how she truly felt about him since that was the first night out together and she didn't want to be forced into what she wasn't fully aware of. This was her first time meeting the man, so she didn't want to seem too forward as well. Overall, she was happy to get out of the house and felt refreshed.

She proceeded to go in real deep (as she always does...lol) in our conversation and explain 'the man chase' to my sister and I. It would only be expected that most of us have the common knowledge of what it means, but common is no longer as common as we think it is. Nowadays, a lot of young girls are completely out of character and misbehave at any given chance. She explained that a lot of men are willing to do anything and everything to get a taste of 'the beans' from any girl they fancy. You may be wondering what 'the beans' is. We were cooking a pot of beans and that was the first word she could relate to. Lol! 'The beans' is her nickname for 'the vagina'. Some call it: punani, pum pum, fine china, vajajay etc. She said that men can go to any lengths to get a girl they like. Whether it be calling her daily, buying her gifts, claiming her before they're actually 'official' or even approaching her friends for advice. The deceit comes once they've got the girl. They'll make her believe that she is so special and worthy of their attention for a chance to get 'the beans'. You'll find that the guy in question will be extra sweet, loving and playful with the girl to make her give up 'the beans' easier. In some cases, they may play innocent and make the girl feel important by telling her to be the one to choose when she feels comfortable enough to have sex. That way she feels in control of their relationship but is still pressurized to eventually have sex with the guy since it will be her beck and call.
Once both partners have engaged in sexual intercourse, you'll notice that the chase slows down and the guy becomes comfortable enough to do as he pleases. The guys who once claimed that he couldn't live without you and would marry you has gotten tired of you and would like to move on. 'The beans' you've been serving him has suddenly gotten dry and they would like to try new beans from a different chef. All that time you took to prepare your 'specials beans' for that man has been a waste. You now feel used and hurt. You can't force him to keep on eating it, so you eventually have to let him go.

Ladies...LISTEN UP! Hold onto your 'beans'! Your vagina is your temple and you need to respect that. Hold onto your integrity and be cautious of men. Not all men that say they want you really cherish you for who you are and what you stand for. Shine ya eyes well well my sisters and consider letting your 'beans' cook a little more before serving.

WWE RAW Live Event

Omg! You guys!!! I don't even know where to start. June 8th, 2015 was one of the best days in my entire life. I have been a WWE fan for the longest time and my new year's resolution was to go to a WWE event in 2015. I had never been to one, but I promised myself that I would make it official this year, and I did. My sister went with me and the experience was beyond words. I was just highly annoyed at one OLODO that was seating next to us and yelling into our ears during the entire event. The mugu just kept on cheering for the bad guys, disrupting us and embarrassing himself. We would keep on moving to go away from his area, but he and his friends kept on following us. I almost reported them to security, but my sister urged me not to so I didn't ruin the experience. He almost ruined it for me! #OlodoComplete!!! He was drinking himself to a stupor. Who in their right mind even does that? It was a family event and he was completely out of character. Yuck!
Apart from that mess that we encountered, I honestly felt at home. Like, words cannot explain how happy I was to be there. The WWE corporation is like a family that gains new members almost at an hourly rate and embraces everyone. My love for WWE was passed on to me by my father and I'm extremely glad that he did. I had attended the Wrestlemania Expo in 2014 and thought I was going to pass out. Walaahi, I almost did again. A lot of people don't believe me when I say I'm a true fan, but by the time I start spitting out names and wrestling moves, they're stunned. Lol.
My best moments included seeing J&J (Seth Rollins former security guards) whoop Seth Rollins butt. Those two were so cute! Dean Ambrose then proceeded to whoop Seth Rollins butt. My boo Roman Reigns whooped Kofi Kingston's butt. That was a hell of a match, but I love them both! Then... my hubby John Cena came out last minute for match against Bryan Wyatt and whooped that scary butt too.
All the photos my sister and I took were blurry, but I got videos!!!
Roman Reigns is just such a gorgeous human being

Ify and I refused to comport ourselves. #Misbehavior101

This boy was hilarious! He couldn't understand why that man was making all sorts of noise during such a beautiful event. He was no more than 15 years old and told the man to "SHUT UP!". His face though= PRICELESS. Lol!

My sister and I almost collapsed on site! John Cena was so close, but yet so far! He came over to hug a guy who's in the military. You know he's loyal to his military fans because his sexy self was in the Marines. Walaahi Talaahi!!! Next time I attend one of the WWE events, I am going in full camo gear!!!

Food, Wine and Hearty Laughter

I almost started off this post with "So..." again, but I had to check myself real quick and get in order. Lol. I stepped out with some of my former co-workers tonight and I had an absolute blast. I had a fabulous outing with great food, wine and people. I hadn't seen them in a while and it's always great to catch up every so often. I'm normally more of a home-body. Anywhere with a couch, A.C, T.V and laptop is my favorite place to be in the world. I'm being so serious though. I'm not one for or with the elements, so I just prefer to stay indoors. Some folks call it being stuck-up, but I call it wisdom. Oh well...life goes on.
We went to an outdoor spot with live music downtown. Humidity was in full effect, but thank goodness I had my hand-fan. I couldn't believe that I was actually able to put the humidity, the fact that my makeup was melting and curls falling aside to enjoy myself. Yea me!!! Even my friends were shocked. One of my former co-workers is a beautiful Irish-American girl and I was so glad to see her again. It had been over a year since I had seen her beautiful face and was so grateful that she blessed us with her presence. I love you Erin! #Besos
I told myself that I wasn't going to have a drink, because I'm so light-headed and didn't want to cause a disgraceful scene in public. Lies I tell! I had a total of over three glasses of bubbly and rosé wines. My oh my...was it quite delicious! Those summer quenchers were spot on and I was pretty tipsy. I knew peer pressure would convince me to have more than a sip and it surely did. Lol! I wasn't able to take pictures, but I have a few that others took to share with you all.

2 Snaps For Denrele Edun!!!

TV and media personality Denrele Edun celebrated his 32nd birthday on Saturday, June 13th and wowed us with these photos from his latest photo shoot. He wore a stunning black agbada piece with platform high-heeled booties and afro-chic weave. He killed it hunny!

OMG! I Got to Meet Nigerian Singing Sensation LAGBAJA!!!

The photo above is self-explanatory! I still can't believe it myself. Like...it really happened. I don't know anyone who has met Lagbaja. Multi- award winning Afrobeats sensation, Lagbaja held a U.S tour this summer and it was a Break Your Bones, Shake Body Madness movement!!! It was his first time back in the United States after over 10 years!
I was fortunate enough to meet him and his crew. The initial plan was for me to intern for them and organize a meet-up. Due to his short stay after his first show in Louisiana, there was no time for me to hold the event because he would have been delayed for his next show. I was then invited to attend his Jazz Festival performance and I was ecstatic. I was screaming like a mad woman when I was on the phone with his manager! I was too happy and praying that his manager wouldn't hang up the phone...lol...he didn't! Praise the Lord!
When my sister and friend got to the location, we had a front view to watch the performance. Now, you know that meant only one thing: FREE MADNESS! Lagbaja and his band were PHENOMENAL. I couldn't contain myself from the first beat that was dropped till the last and my friend refused to stop abrupt movements to the music. My sister who BARELY ever dances couldn't help herself. Her body was out of control as well. The whole crowd was jumping, dancing and shaking their booty (as encouraged by Lagbaja). Lol. I'm being honest when I say that this was the best performance I have ever been to in my life. I have been to various concerts and I'm not saying it because I'm Nigerian. I felt so blessed to be in the midst of his music singing along with him and embracing our culture all at the same time.
After the event, we were invited to go back stage and personally meet him. My whole body was sweating and makeup had melted. It wasn't cute. Lol. I was so embarrassed, but just being back there helped to quickly end all the nervousness. Lagbaja and his crew were so humble, cheerful and amazing company to be around. We got to take pictures and make videos with them. It was a beautiful experience. He totally made this the best summer ever! #TeamLagbaja #TeamKonkoBelow

My sister and I thought this police officer was super hot! His partner heard us and she totally agreed. She was giggling with us. He found us after the show and asked us if we had time to take a photo with him because he heard that we wanted one. (I know he thought we were FYN! See his hand on my waist. Lol) How sweet though!!! I love you police lady!
