This Tinder Thingy

What is Tinder?
Tinder is an online dating application that uses your Facebook info and pictures to help find you a match based on your location and preferences.
I was on the phone yesterday with one of my close friends (Kosi) and she told me that she started using the app for fun. I have heard of people who use it, but never used it in my life. I never used initially, because I thought I had to pay for it and I refused to pay to find love...(haahahaha). I also thought it would just be extremely weird. I had gone on a dating site before and the caliber of men I saw there was just unacceptable. They weren't well dressed, didn't smile right and definitely were not my style. I am quite open to dating men from different races (though I just don't think Asians and I are meant to be). That site was just null and void (seriously!). Since then, I had never gone on such a website again.
So, after you create a profile on Tinder, it starts finding potential matches within your geographic location. You can also narrow your preferences down to a particular age range, distance and gender of course. If you LIKE a picture you see and their bio, you swipe to the right. If you don't like what you see, then you swipe NOPE to the left. Now, the funny thing about it is that the only way they will know you liked their profile is if they also LIKE yours. If not, they won't ever know.
This app was created in 2012 and has an average of 50 million people using it each month! It has helped establish relationships and marriages within the short period since its launch. I just don't think it was made for me. As in, I was very upset yesterday. I wasn't really interested in anyone I saw because they're profiles were DULLING. I kept on swiping till I fell asleep. It bored me to the point that I slept at 8.00pm (that is a Guinness record for me!) I was swiping so fast that I mistakenly swiped the ONLY two I liked to the left and other two I had no interest in at all to the right. LOL!!! I was like "Am I mentally challenged or what? I just woke up not too long ago and realized that I'm actually stable. I told Kosi that I had given up, but she told me to chill like ice block and give it a second chance. She says that I will have fun. Why must fun be like punishment for me? Anyways sha, I will give this tinder another try, but if I don't like it again, it's going off my phone!
