My friend Precious just got back from his trip to Houston today. My friends and I (including Precious) went a few weeks ago to #TurnUp and we had a BLAST!!! So, he decided to go back to visit some babes and explore Texas a bit more. I begged him to buy me food from this one particular store we visited called 'Southwest Farmers Market' and he made my dreams come true. Where do I even begin??? From the isi ewu, to the chin chin, to the jollof rice, to the meatpies, to the agege bread...God is so good! They have the most authentic Nigerian cuisine and products. I was OVERWHELMED the first time I went because I hadn't seen a lot of the products in years! I even began taking pictures with some of the food items (included down below) and just dancing around the whole store. Lol #MyLife #Shame . As I unpacked the food into various containers, I looked at them and smiled. I was planning how I would devour the beauties right in front of me.
I stopped buying junk food a while back as I stuck to more healthier snacks, but I have recently gone back to my old ways. I look above my fridge and I see death. I look inside my fridge and I see death. What do you expect me to do when I see that almost the whole Lindt store has gone on a 50% sale and the Farmers market is having 'Buy 1 Get 1 Free' deals for jollof rice after 9pm? I go crazy and start acting out of character.
All in all, I need prayers yal. If I gain back all the weight I lost last summer, I will be really disappointed. I have to turn away from my bad habits immediately. I know what I need to do to change my ways, but I have been slacking. Don't worry, I will make it. I have faith. Maybe just after a few more 5 more trips to the market though. Ah ah...eating is a part of survival nah!
